Merchants Bank’s Alden Roberts Provides Financial Literacy Education
(Bangor, PA) Alden Roberts, CSR in the Easton office of Merchants Bank, started a 10-series Financial Literacy Education Class this month at the Children’s Home of Easton. The class covers such topics as; Needs vs. Wants, Budgeting, Branch Banking Transaction Management, Debit/Credit Card Safety, Savings, etc. Roberts was employed with Merchants Bank since January 2015.
Several bank employees have done similar education sessions at various non-profits in the bank’s service area, although this is the first time Merchants Bank is offering this education series at the Children’s Home of Easton. “Our employees take pride in the service they provide the community which is evident in the numerous volunteer hours they dedicate. In 2016, our bank employees volunteered more than 1,000 hours in community events, serving at soup kitchens, supporting non-profit fundraising activities, and more, said Rocco Del Vecchio, CEO, Merchants Bank.
