Rocco Del Vecchio Named Chief Executive Officer of Merchants Bank of Bangor

(Bangor, PA) Richard Hotchkiss, Chairman of the Board for Merchants Bank of Bangor and MNB Corporation, is pleased to announce that Rocco A. Del Vecchio will be the new Chief Executive Officer of Merchants Bank of Bangor, succeeding the twelve-year reign of Anthony Biondi.

Del Vecchio comes to Merchants Bank from Lafayette Ambassador Bank where he served as President/Chief Operating Officer and Vice Chair of the Lafayette Ambassador board of directors from October 2010. Before his last position, Del Vecchio was the Executive Vice President/Chief Credit Officer from January 2000 to October 2010. He spent 30 years at Lafayette Ambassador and Fulton Financial. Del Vecchio has a long banking career having begun in 1980 with First National Bank of Allentown.

Del Vecchio serves as board chairman of Miller Keystone Blood Center and also serves on the board of the Burn Prevention Network and the Notre Dame High School. He is active with the Minsi Trail Council/Boy Scouts and the Sacred Heart Church, Miller Heights.

Del Vecchio is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Finance and Economics. He also achieved certificates for various schools in Advanced Commercial Lending, Behavior Management, and Bank Sales. Del Vecchio resides in Bethlehem.
