Through Pennsylvania’s Education Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC), Merchants Bank recently donated $6,000 to The Children’s Home. This marks the seventh year the Bank has donated to the Easton non-profit that helps care for and educate children from troubled families. Gregg Dowty, Executive Director of the Children’s Home, is thankful of the Bank’s continued support, “Merchants Bank supports advanced educational programs that we provide, such as job and life skills preparation, financial awareness and access to technology. These opportunities prepare our youth to become successful adults.”
In addition to the EITC Program, the Bank also supports the Children’s Home fundraisers throughout the year, including: the Annual Golf Tournament, the Annual Pink Ball and the Annual Wine Gala & Auction. Vice President and Market Manager, Sandee Kennedy recognized the good work and positive mission of the Home, “Our donations go towards providing these young people with emotional and moral support, as well as guidance. All of this helps with their transformation into educated, employable and contributing members of society. That is certainly something that Merchants Bank can stand behind.”
