(Bangor, PA) Merchants Bank recently presented a check in the amount of $2,500.00 to the Children’s Home of Easton.   The contribution was the first installment of a two-year, $5,000.00 pledge made by  Merchants Bank.  Established in 1885 and located in Easton, Pennsylvania, the Children’s Home is a non-profit organization that provides programs and housing for children in need.

“It is a pleasure to present this contribution to the Children’s Home of Easton on behalf of Merchants Bank,” said Diane Murphy, Vice President and Market Manager at Merchants Bank.  “The Children’s Home of Easton is dedicated to changing the lives of our children, and Merchants takes pride in assisting our local community organizations in reaching their goals,” Murphy added.

“Many of our children have struggled academically due to learning difficulties, chaotic school environments and personal challenges.  They need the individual support and attention that the Children’s Home of Easton provides,”  said Gregg Dowty, President and Executive Director of the Children’s Home.  “It is with the help of organizations and businesses, like Merchants Bank, that we are able to provide the support they deserve.”
