(Bangor, PA)Merchants Bank recently contributed $4,450 to The Blue and White Scholastic Foundation, Inc. Anthony J. Biondi, CEO and Director of Merchants Bank, presented the check to James Angeline, principal of Pius X High School, and Louise Comunale, member of the Scholastic Foundation. This is the eighth consecutive year that Merchants Bank has supported the Foundation through similar contributions.
The Blue and White Scholastic Foundation, Inc. is an organization established to help students who attend, and those who wish to attend, Pius X High School and the two elementary schools associated with Pius X, Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Roseto and Immaculate Conception School in Pen Argyl.

“We are thrilled to once again be receiving such a sizeable contribution from Merchants Bank through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program,” said James Angeline, principal of Pius X High School. “This money goes directly to help struggling families pay for the Catholic education they get here at Pius. There is always a need for this type of assistance, but now, this year, this need is greater than ever and we are extremely grateful to Merchants Bank for the support they show Pius.”
